We now need the items listed below prior to any eyelid surgery consult appointment!
- An eye exam including the MRD reading from within the past year
- Visual Field Testing
At your appointment you will meet with the surgeon discuss the procedure and see if you are a candidate. If you are, we will take photos and you will meet with our surgical coordinator. She will send all of this documentation to the patients insurance company for approval. We will then schedule the procedure when we get approval from the insurance company.
Eyelid rejuvenation, also known as blepharoplasty, is perfect for people with excess sagging or wrinkled upper or lower eyelid skin. This treatment is done using either local or general anesthesia. There are incisions made at your natural crease in your upper lid and below the lash line in your lower lid. Excess fat and skin are both removed. If you have fat present only in the lower lid, it can be removed through an incision inside the lower lid with no external incision or scar.
